Robin Roberts, who has anchored ABC’s “Good Morning America” show for more than 10 years, revealed that she is gay in a Facebook post thanking her fans for their support through her transplant recovery.Roberts’ message, in addition to thanking family, friends and physicians, also noted that “I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together.”
Roberts has kept few secrets about her health. She wrote and spoke extensively about her battle with breast cancer in 2008 and again in 2012 when she underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome.
