An Emotional Kanye Says He Wishes His Mother Could Have Met Baby North

 

Kanye is not known to be a man of many regrets, but he told the crowd at his latest concert about a major one. The one thing ‘Ye says he’d change about the last 10 years of his life is making sure his mother was around to meet baby Nori. Reports HuffPost:

Kanye West may seem larger than life most of the time, but every once in a while, he reveals that he is, indeed, simply a man.
West put away the theatrics for a moment while performing at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino on Friday (Feb. 21) and got real with the audience, divulging his biggest regret in life.

“These past 10 years have been amazing,” he told the crowd. “There’s been some ups and downs. I made some mistakes and I’ve made some accomplishments. There’s only one thing I regret,” he continued. “There’s only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that’s ever happened. I wish that my mother could’ve met my daughter.”
West was raised by his single mother, Donda West, from the age of three, and the two were very close. She died in 2007, due to complications from cosmetic surgery, paired with other medical issues.

We bet that Donda West would have been an amazing grandmother. Poor Kanye seems to still beat himself up over her death, and it must be really hard for him not to have her around for his child when they were so close. Sad.
