GOV FASHOLAs FAMILY IN SERIOUS MISHAP!

 

News has it that Kayode Fashola is lying seriously ill with two broken legs and severed leg veins and arteries at Ward F of the Bank Anthony Wink of the Igbobi Orthopaedic Hospital. The injured Kayode is the Uncle of Lagos State Governor, Mr Raji Babatunde Fashola whose father, Demola, passed away recently. Kayode is one of several children of late Raji Fashola of Lagos.

Kayode Fashola’s serious injury resulted from an attempt, albeit successful, to escape from armed robbers who invaded his residence at Akinhanmi Street, in the Ishaga Road area of Surulere, Lagos. In his bid to get away, he jumped from his top floor window onto galvanised roofing sheets of the shop below. Paradoxically, this shop had just been built to serve as a trading outlet for Kayode’s wife. As his two legs tore into the sheets, his muscles, veins, arteries, flesh and skin were all severed and both legs were broken. 

Surgeons in the orthopaedic hospital are giving him the best Medicare possible and several friends and accolades have trooped to the hospital to visit him including Mr Tunde Giwa, formerly of the Nigerian Foreign Service and Ms Lara Harrison, wife of late Taiwo Alakija. Hangers on and sycophants of Governor Fashola have not been left out also. Lagos Blog will continuously monitor the situation and keep you well informed of the developments.

Late Raji Fashola was a man who enjoyed the pleasantries derivable from marriage to several women who all had many children for him.  As it is typical in Lagos where there is no discrimination between Christians and Muslims, some of his wives were Christians while some were of the Islamic faith. Notable among his Christian offspring was the late Victor Kehinde Fashola (VK) and his late sister, Taiwo who were both from a Christian mother, Miss Coker. Kehinde attended CMS Grammar School alongside his cousin, late Niyi Coker of NITEL. 

There is such undisruptive dichotomy in the social cum religious nature of Lagos that it is pedagogical that the present Governor’s late father’s wife Lara Williams is a Christian, and the Governor’s wife, Bimbo is herself a Christian whose mother attends Mass every Sunday at the Roman Catholic Holy Cross Cathedral in Lagos.
