Obiano wins Anambra governorship election Mr. Willie Obiano

 

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Mr. Willie Obiano, has been declared the winner in the Anambra State governorship election. Obiano scored 180,178 to beat the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mr. Tony Nwoye, to the second position with 97,700 votes and Senator Chris Ngige of the All Progressives Congress, who came third with 95,963. The Labour Party candidate, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah, came fourth with 37,495. A Nigerian man said to be "near death" following a hunger strike is back in the UK after the Home Office flight deporting him had to turn around.

According to BBC, Muazu, who has been on a hunger strike since September, came to the UK in 2007 on a visitor's visa. But stayed on without permission after it ran out in 2008. He even got a job.

But on 25 July this year, he was detained.

Late Paul Walker's friend and Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese visited the scene of the car crash today and was inconsolable. The actor and singer, who has been friends with Paul for the past thirteen years cried through out. He left a single yellow rose at the scene of the crash before leaving.

Paul Walker, 40, was the passenger in his friend's Porsche GT which spun out of control and hit a pole and tree, bursting into flames and killing both men yesterday afternoon November 30th.
TMZ reported earlier today that the county coroner revealed that the bodies of Paul and his friend Roger Rodas, 38, who was also his financial adviser, were so badly burned that they are currently unidentifiable.

The L.A. County Coroner has requested dental records for both victims before they can identify the bodies. Autopsies on both bodies have been delayed until later this week. Too sad!

I have grown mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I have learnt not to be selfish and more tolerant. A 60-year-old Japanese man switched at birth says he would like to "roll back the clock", days after winning a lawsuit against the hospital that mistakenly cast him into a life of poverty.

FAST AND FURIOUS ACTOR Paul Walker Dies In Car Accident – PHOTOS

 

Hollywood actor Paul Walker, who was one of the major actors of “Fast and Furious” is dead! The actor died in a car accident.

His family has taken to his official Facebook page to release a statement about the death of the actor on Nov. 30. While at a charity event, Paul was riding in a friend’s car that hit a tree, and exploded into flames. He was 40. 

The tragic car crash that killed Paul Walker took place in Santa Clarita, Cali. while he was volunteering with his charity, Reach Out Worldwide to raise money to help those affected by the storm in the Philippines. His family and friends are heartbroken by the tragedy, as are we. They have released the following statement.

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. According to the Times Live, a Nigerian and a Tanzanian man were found with 20kg of heroin, 15kg of cocaine, and 15kg of tik during a police operation on Wednesday. “This is the biggest drug raid we have netted so far this year in terms of value. The men were closely monitored by crime intelligence officers for the past few months,” said Captain Paul Ramaloko. They were expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court soon. OUTRAGE: How 409 Nigerians Are Being Discriminated in South African Prisons

409 Nigerians serving jail terms in South Africa......

The House of Representatives has come out to condemn the ill-treatment and discrimination against Nigerians living in South Africa, stressing that over 409 convicts were currently serving jail terms there.

Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewam, the Chairman of the House Committee on Diaspora, disclosed this in a statement issued after the committee’s visit to two prisons in
South Africa. She described the increasing number of Nigerians in foreign prisons as “ridiculously embarrassing.”
