When will we learn to accept blackness as beautiful? Even as Lupita Nyong’o is being hailed for her incredible beauty and stunning complexion the actress is admitting she did not always see her dark skin as stunning.

South African Immigration Deporting Nigerian For Insubstantial Excuses

Recently, the South African immigration has been deporting Nigerians for the most insubstantial reasons. Starting from their airport, they deport Nigerians for allegedly carrying what they call 'fake' yellow card. Then sometimes they raid local hotels and even pick Nigerians up while they are going about their business.

The statement made by the Governor of Borno, Kashim Shettima seems to have been proven true after soldiers in Adamawa reportedly took to their heels on sighting a convoy of Boko Haram insurgents.
Governor Shettima said earlier in the week that the members of the militant group were better armed and better motivated than officers of the Nigerian army.
The attack on Adamawa, which came closely behind the Yobe college massacre, resulted in massive loss of life and property as people were killed and maimed and buildings were burnt.

The unknown gunmen first struck the border village of Kirchinga in Madagali Local Government at about 8:30pm where they set houses ablaze before proceeding to Shuwa where they killed eleven persons.

Scared Students, Teachers Flee Boarding Schools in North East Nigeria

Scared students in northeast Nigeria have fled boarding schools after an attack by suspected Boko Haram extremists in which 59 students were shot and hacked to death and the whole school razed.
Students refused to stay overnight in their schools and colleges in the wake of the attack on the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Yobe state on Tuesday.

Couple jailed for cutting 10-year-old son’s fingers (PICTURED)

A Ghanaian father and mother have been sentenced to spend 6 months in prison after they were found guilty of assault on their son.
Morrison Adenkor and Angelina Adeti were said to have cut the fingertips of their 10-year-old child because he stole meat and coins.
The couple was found guilty of causing harm and were indicted for violating the child’s rights.

Scorned husband posts raunchy pics of wife all over town after split

Six months after they got married, 46 year old Ian Cuthbert, put up raunchy fliers of his 34 year old wife Alison in her underwear all over their local town with the captions - "Married and committing adultery within days", and "Lock Up Your Husbands" because he believed she had cheated on him.

Days after Allison moved out of their home, the IT boss posted the fliers on trees, lamppost, local eatries and on a noticeboard of the school where the woman worked. Allison called the police and Ian was charged with distributing offensive pictures of his wife. The case is currently in court.

Social media was rife with serious allegations yesterday against President Jonathan’s Special Assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri.
It has been claimed that Mr. Omokri created a document falsely linking the recently suspended Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to the activities of extremist group, Boko Haram.
Omokri is said to have hidden under the identity of someone named “Wendell Simlin,”and sent around the document which claimed that Sanusi had something to do with the recent increase in violence in the North-East.
Attempts made to reach Mr. Omokri for comments on the allegations levelled against him have proved futile.

Suspected members of Boko Haram terrorist sect on Wednesday night attacked a number of villages in Madagali and Michika LGAs in Adamawa State.

The little boy put his mother, Becky Gumm, 32, through hell after he hid himself in the cupboard after watching his favourite programme, Fireman Sam.
His mother made a distress call to the police which sparked a huge search, including neighbours and total strangers who turned out in large numbers to look for the little boy.

South African Man launches contest for virgins, to reward them with R100,000

29 year old Rabelani Ramali (pictured right), a community worker from rural Limpopo province in South African has launched a contest in the country where girls who are virgins at 35 and below would be rewarded with R100,000 or less plus medals; gold, silver or bronze, depending on their ages

Rabelani who has fathered five children by four women out of wedlock, says he decided to come up with this idea to help checkmate the rate of unwanted pregnancies and HIV cases amongst south African women. He said his NGO, SA Virgin Girls Awards, which was registered in November 2013, is set to take on this task as he has recruited 31 volunteer workers who would help disburse forms among women in schools, market, churches and other places.
