UPDATED: Boko Haram Attack SSS Headquarters, Military Aircrafts Hover Over Presidential Villa

There was shooting in the vicinity of Nigeria’s Presidential palace and the headquarters of the Department of State Services in the Asokoro District of Abuja.
The expansive headquarters of the State Security Service, popularly known as Yellow House, is adjacent to one of the remote gates of the Presidential villa.
According to security sources and residents of the nearby Aso Drive area, the gunshots were either coming out of the SSS headquarters or the Presidential villa.

One local resident said, “We don’t know what’s going on here. Heavy gunfire has been coming from the direction of the villa. The entire area has been barricaded. SSS operatives are scampering out of their headquarters as the gunshots get louder.

The countdown began on Friday to the moment at midnight when same-sex marriage becomes law in England and Wales, the final stage in the long fight for equality for gay men and lesbians.
Several couples are vying to make history by saying “I do” in the first few minutes of Saturday morning, when the historic marriage law passed by parliament last year comes into force.
Many more plan to exchange vows in the hours that follow, including one couple who will perform almost the entire ceremony — barring the legal declaration — in song for a television programme entitled “Our Gay Wedding: The Musical”.
Civil partnerships have been legal since 2005 and marriage brings no new rights — the ability to adopt, for example, was introduced in 2002. But campaigners demanded full equality with heterosexual couples.

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta on March 28, 2014, Friday, announced the arrest of members of a syndicate specializing in crude oil theft. The members of the group, which included two Britons, have been arrested shortly after offering a bribe to the officials.

The suspects, who brought $66,500 (N10.6 million) to the JTF as the first half of the total N20m bribe, were paraded at the JTF Headquarters in Yenagoa on Friday.
The cash exhibit was also displayed before journalists.
JTF command explained that a representative of the syndicate approached the JTF with an approval letter from Naval Headquarters for a vessel, NNS Delta, to evacuate petroleum products.

Based on the letter, the JTF said it granted the approval and directed its troops to monitor the activities of the firm in the water ways.

Fake Pastor Caught With Human Skull During Prayer

\The Oyo State capital, Ibadan, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the last one week and the gory stories continue to unravel. First it was the discovery of a horror forest where human bodies and skeletons were discovered in a community. Few days after that discovery, a man who disguised himself as a mad man was arrested with human tongues and other body part.

The latest that is coming from the ancient city is that a man who disguised as a Pastor has been nabbed after he was discovered to be in possession of a human skull. The preacher, dressed in white garment and going about preaching at the top of his voice and receiving money from people, was arrested at Agbowo Junction. A man approached the fake Pastor to pray for him but during the prayer the man observed something inside his bag. After the prayer, the man made as if he wanted to give the Pastor some money but he immediately grab his bag and while dragging the bag, to the surprise of everyone, a human skull drop…

Cameroon Arrests Three Suspected Boko Haram Weapon Suppliers

Cameroon said on Thursday it had arrested three men suspected of being arms traffickers that supply Boko Haram.

This information has been disclosed to the AFP by a Cameroonian police official on condition of anonymity.
The men were caught in the far north of the country on Wednesday, March 26 near the border with Nigeria where the Islamist group has been waging a brutal armed insurgency.

"Members of the BIR (an elite rapid-response unit of Cameroon's army) and the police found a significant stock of arms including a kalashnikov and rocket launchers near Goulfey," the official said.

Witnesses said Mr. Ogunbiyi arrived the landlady’s residence at about 7:02 a.m. and immediately opened fire on his wife. He also shot and killed the landlady, a 2-year-old toddler, and three others. He did not shoot at his children, who were also in the house.
