See Why EFCC Is Silent On Missing $10bn

As controversy over the missing $10billion rages on, Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has come out to say why it kept silent over the issue since the report about the missing money broke out.
According to the anti-graft agency head of media and publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, the commission is still waiting for the outcome of the ongoing probe of the missing money undertaken by the Senate.
Uwujaren made this statement at their monthly press briefing yesterday in Abuja.
He added that it will be wrong for different government agencies to make conflicting comments about the same missing money.

“When the chairman of EFCC appeared before the Senate, he was asked the same question. He explained that different agencies of government cannot be shouting at the same time over missing money.
“The National Assembly is carrying out an investigation on that matter. It is only proper for us to wait for the outcome of that investigation. It will open more light on the true state of things.
"Different figures are being bandied around. We are waiting for the National Assembly to finish their job. You can be rest assured that we will look into it,” Uwujaren said.
